7: In Conversation: Red Bull's Latest Recruit, Jehan Daruvala

[ad_1]

Jehan Daruvala is the latest recruit of the Red Bull Junior Team – the Formula 1’s team driver development program helmed by the much-feared Dr. Helmut Marko. In this episode of Inside Line F1 Podcast (http://bit.ly/ilf1ponkf1b) , the Formula 2 racer shares how his partnership with Red Bull came about, if he received the infamous early morning call from Dr. Marko, Red Bull’s targets and expectations of him in 2020, why he chose Carlin, who his key rivals are in the upcoming season and more.
A note for our non-Indian / non-F2 listeners – we strive to bring to you different aspects of Motorsport that we work with. Our conversation with Jehan will give you insights into how Red Bull assesses junior drivers progressing through the Motorsport ladder, how Formula 2 team decisions are made, how a driver needs to adapt when graduating from Formula 3 to Formula 2 and so on.
For those interested only in Formula 1, worry not. We discuss Fernando Alonso’s second reunion with Mclaren. Will it win him the much-elusive Triple Crown of Motorsport? Is it embarrassing that no team is showing interest in hiring him whatsoever? Finally, we pray that despite the corona-virus scare Formula 1 actually treats us to a 22 race calendar in 2020. Tune in!
(Season 2020, Episode 07)

9:00-end – Jehan Daruvala speaks Formula 2, joining the illustrious Red Bull Junior Team, whether he got an early morning call from Helmut Marko, why he chose Carlin over the other teams, how Red Bull will gauge his performances in Formula 2 and of course, his key rivals in 2020
