New Year, new city, new guest!
I’ve followed and reported on Kush Maini’s racing career for many years. In fact, my in-depth interviews with Kush for autoX from a few months ago received lots of comments and interest from Indian Motorsport fans.
For Indian Motorsport fans, Kush presents the brightest opportunity for an Indian to return to race in Formula 1. If Kush’s performances in Formula 2 in 2023 are anything to go by, Formula 1 is definitely on the radar for the 23-year old racer.
In September, I wrote about how Kush’s Formula 2 to Formula 1 journey hinges on three key conversations. In October, my interview with Kush focussed on how it all unfolded for him – from Formula 3 to Formula 2 to Formula 1 and with being mentored by Mika Hakkinen.
In January 2024, I will have the chance to have a sit down conversation with Kush – in front of a live ticketed audience. As the Inside Line Pitstop expands to Bengaluru, there’s no better guest to have for our first event than Kush!
The event will be co-hosted with Soumil Arora and @f1statsguru (aka Sundaram). Bira 91 Taproom in Koramangala is our venue partner. Ideabrew Studios will produce the event and content overall.

At the event, we will display trophies and helmets from Kush’s illustrious Motorsport career. The winners of a Kush-themed quiz will stand to win autographed memorabilia – a helmet visor, a pair of gloves, a miniature of Kush’s Formula 2 race car (Campos Racing) and a miniature figurine of Kush himself.
