F1 Virtual GP: Driver Banter Better Than Racing

#
F1 Virtual GP + other online races are a hit, but is it because of the driver banter than the racing itself? The gimmicks are fun, but can this please not be the future of the sport? Also, can we put a cap on the number of online races per season? And of course, a filter on who can participate in them.

Okay, the question has to be asked. Are ‘Virtual GP’ the future of Formula 1? For our sake, let’s really hope not. We’d rather that it was Formula E! The question also has to be asked – how much is too much when it comes to the F1 Virtual GP + other online races? There’s a race every second day! Anyone who is a someone is trying their hand at the F1 Virtual GP – heck, we even had a cricketer and golfer try their luck.

In this episode of the Inside Line F1 Podcast, we ask if fans tune in to the virtual races for the non-racing driver banter than the racing itself. Well…you’re not alone if you’re tuning in for the latter 😉

Also in this episode of the Inside Line F1 Podcast, would a team opt to leave Formula 1 if the new Concorde Agreement continues with the historic wrongdoing? The classic races are a good marketing tool – for the old and new fans; we bring to you a recap of the 1994 Japanese Grand Prix. Finally, what are the financial benefits of hosting two races on one weekend? In fact, we tell you why it might be difficult for Formula 1 to go down this road. Tune in!
