Mayawati To Present The Winner’s Trophy At The Indian Grand Prix

Unconfirmed news yet, but just heard in the Formula1 Paddock that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati will be presenting the winner’s trophy at the inaugural Indian Grand Prix.
Mayawati heads the BSP or the Bahujan Samaj Party, which is the ruling party for the state of Uttar Pradesh. For those surprised, the Buddh International Circuit is located in Greater Noida, which is located in Gautam Buddh Nagar in Uttar Pradesh.
Many surprised personnel in the Paddock, but well, in the races abroad, we have seen in the past, Ministers, Mayors or Premiers of the district, state or the country such honours. Enjoy the Indian GP and make sure you don’t miss the podium presentation ceremony.
For those who are new to Formula1 and are visiting a grand prix for the first time could hear the Indian Grand Prix Podcast to know more.
